Music in Pictures Contest: Imagine

This week’s Music in Pictures Contest theme over at Autumn in Bruges is ‘Imagine’ by John Lennon. I’ve decided to enter with this picture of a giant bubble which I took down at the Southbank at the weekend. When I look into the bubble I start to imagine all of the ways in which the world could be better…

Bubble

“You may say I’m a dreamer…”

Imagine

Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today…

Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace…

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world…

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one
